Scarlett’s rep Marcel Pariseau confirms the news on Monday and says “they’re both thrilled” but did not reveal any wedding date.
A source close to Johansson tells
E! News that 23-year-old actress and the 31-year-old
Definitely, Maybe star have actually been betrothed “for a little while,” and they have kept the engagement on the down-low because “they want to keep things private.”
The pair first stepped out publicly together in April 2007, just two months after Reynolds and Canadian singer
Alanis Morissette called off their own lengthy engagement.
